Hey guys, Zero1 here.  I have been wanting to run some kind of online tournament for a long time now, but due to life circumstances, it’s been difficult to be online at a time when other people are.  However, I am on holiday for a few days and thought it would be fun to run a FightCade tournament.  It’s nothing serious, just a bit of fun, but you are still expected to bring your A game.

This will serve as a test to see if any issues crop up with people connecting to eachother and to see how smoothly an online tournament can run.  Please note that while we take care to seed everyone as accurately as possible, we can only guarantee this for players who have competed in offline tournaments before, where we have some data on them and how they rank relative to other players.  For the online players, I will be on FightCade during the day for you to challenge me so I can get a feel for where you should be seeded.  The more tournaments you enter, the better we will be able to refine this.  It’s all about having that data!

This tournament is only open to the UK and Ireland.  We may expand in future, but for now this is our area of expertise plus it should give everyone a good chance of a decent connection.

Wifi can suck, so please plug directly into your modem or router if possible.  It’s really simple, it’s just plug and play in most cases.  If you are using a laptop, check for a wifi on/off button to disable that while you play.

How to enter:  Simply be online on FightCade between 19:30 and 20:00 and mention my name (Zero1) in the chat so I get a notification.
